Originally a USAAF airplane, 90 Squadron took deliverof 20 for daylight bombing from high altitudes.
Later used for Coastal Command and maritime Reconnaissance 85 of the later B-17 G's were delivered for use by 100 group, and used for Radio Counter Measures.
